Aisha Hinds is an American actress who is best known for playing roles in the television series The Shield and True Blood. Since her debut she has demonstrated her range of talents by appearing on shows like Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. She was first noticed for her role as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. But it was her role as women's rights campaigner Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally brought her recognition as an actor. Hind was also recognized for her role as Harriet Tubman in WGN America's period television drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television has renewed the series for a 3rd season.
