Allyson Felix

Allyson Michael Felix a Los Angeles native born on the 18th November 1985. Her father Paul Felix is an ordained Minister in the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. And her mother Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her athletic abilities while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. A mere 10 weeks after the initial trial she took her skills, she placed 2nd in the 200m race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for a professional career with Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She was the youngest to win the 200 meters in the world championships held in Helsinki in the year 2005. She won her medal once again in 2007, by beating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor in London, Beijing Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of the events.
